S.3 - Protecting America in the War on Terror Act of 2005

On January 24, 2005, Sen. Judd Gregg introduced S.3 - Protecting America in the War on Terror Act of 2005. This bill (more commonly known as "Bioshield II") was also sponsored by Sens. Frist, Sessions, DeWine, Allen, Santorum, McConnell, and DeMint. The law includes a number of handouts to the pharmaceutical industry, including patent extentions for drugs not related to bioterror, and immunity from safety lawsuits.
