Ms. Mahan evaluates and writes on health policy issues for Families USA, a national health care advocacy organization that works towards the goal of affordable health care for all Americans. Ms. Mahan’s work focuses on issues related to prescription drugs and the pharmaceutical industry, including drug coverage, pricing, consumers’ access to generics, and states’ efforts to expand access to prescription drugs. Prior to joining Families USA in 2001, Ms. Mahan worked for over ten years as a health care consultant with Provenance Health Partners and Lash Group. Ms. Mahan has a law degree and post-graduate degree in Health Care Administration, both from The George Washington University.
