Louis J. Currat holds a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Geneva and a Masters in Economics from the University of Michigan. Since January 1998, he is the Executive Secretary of the Global Forum for Health Research, an international Foundation created in June1998 and financed by the World Bank, the World Health Organization, the Rockefeller Foundation and the Governments of Canada, Denmark, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden and Switzerland.
Between 1978 and 1997, he worked for the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) in Bern. His latest position was Director of the Technical Department. Previously (1970-1977), Mr Currat worked for the World Bank in Washington D.C.
